genuine english guy seeking jw lady
by english_gentleman inhi, i believe that a lady is put on earth to satisfy the needs of her partner and respect his views in all matters.. i realize some here may consider that old fashioned and not based on sexual equality.. yet a lady and man are not created equal because the lady gives birth and the man must sire many children.
if you are a lady under 30 and keen to meet me, willing to cook and breed, then please message me here.
please do not contact me if you disagree with my views, we can agree to differ.

Evolution is a Fact #26 - Colour Vision
by cofty ineach little flower that opens, each little bird that sings,he made their glowing colours,he made their tiny wings.. all of us have been moved by the riot of colours in a spring meadow, the majesty of a sunset or the beauty of a bird in breeding plumage.
what greater evidence could there be of a loving creator than our colourful world and the human eye that is equipped to appreciate it?.
this is the sort of simplistic argument that convinces a lot of creationists about their beliefs.. it's time to "unweave the rainbow".. light is detected by a proteins called opsins.

Government turning on religion - or - I how I learned to stop worrying and love Drumpf
by undercover inwhere, exactly, does the bible say that government(s) will turn on religion?
i mean, other than interpreting some crazy visions/dreams from revelation as such?.
with one megalomaniac leading the gop race for nomination to vie for president of the usa, i've noticed that paranoia has ratcheted up a notch or three.

Vidiot: I'll say this for Trump; he may be right-wing, but he doesn't seem beholden to the Christian Right.
Huh?

Aliens exist and YHWH (Jehovah) was one of them.
by Jehovah Was An Alien in"the constellation of the seven stars forming the pleiades appears to be the crowning centre around which the known system of the planets revolve even as our suns planet obey the sun and travel in their respective orbits.
it has been suggested, and with much weight, that one of the stars of that group is the dwelling place of jehovah and the place of the highest heavens; that is the place to which the inspired writer referred to when he said: "hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven" (2 chronicles6:21) ; and that it is the place to which job referred when under inspiration he wrote: "canst thou blind the sweet influences of pleiades, or loose the bands of orion" – job 38:31"
the constellation of the pleiades is a small one compared with others which scientific instruments disclose to the wondering eyes of man.

Worldwatch Institute vs Watching the World
by berrygerry inpart of the "last days" in the bible teach book indicates that : "a report from the worldwatch institute states: “three times as many people fell victim to war in [the 20th] century as in all the wars from the first century ad to 1899.” more than 100 million people have died as a result of wars since 1914.
"that seems to be quite the statement, given mankind's history of war, which, for the most part, seems to have only dimished since 1945.fact-checking that quote shows that, first of all, it is not a quote by the worldwatch institute, but is actually a paper written by one of its contributors (michael renner) in 1999.
( http://www.worldwatch.org/system/files/wp146.pdf ) additionally, that paper references a table (done by a different researcher) that indicates that the 20th century not only has the most war-related deaths, but far and away the greatest ratio of deaths at 44.4 per 1,000 population.

One must keep in mind that the world population was much less in the first 1900 years since the 1st century than those living during World War II. -

Thank you compound. You just released similar memories in me.
It is of the private school I used to go to. The whole school was housed in a refurbished apartment building with an apartment for each class. My eighth grade was in a second story apartment that had the walls between two bedrooms knocked out in order to make room for the class. The whole school was a jerry rigged conglomeration of classes with similar 'design'. Some people would have considered it tacky but it had personality. More organic than regimented architecture.
I would enjoy quiet moments, all alone, day dreaming when the class was away for Physical Education (I never went and nobody missed me). I would listen to the girls of my class during lunch period play the guitar and sing. One song that they sang was Those Were the Days which was about a person reminiscing on her youth. When they sang that I told myself that I would someday be looking back on that moment. Of course, I am now.
In this classroom there was a cat that used to belong to the school principle's mother (She used to live in that very apartment before it was converted to a classroom). That cat got pregnant and had kittens squirreled away in a box inside a small room where no one went. One fine day momma cat decided to bring her kittens in to our classroom. She was carrying them using her mouth to gently bite the kittens neck and walk. One by one they came and were placed in a small out of the wall closet immediately by my desk. I enjoyed the beauty of that moment more than any class lessons I ever received.
Now I'm 3,000 miles and almost 45 years away from that memory. Blessed be the things we later appreciate.

Would/Do you wear a Cross around your neck ??
by Prisca inafter all that we had drummed into us about not the cross, and particularly about not venerating the symbol itself, i have been wondering about this issue.. so, what are your views about wearing a cross around your neck ?
is it just a fashion accessory, or does it mean something to you ?.
inquiring minds would like to know

I once thought of getting an Ankh, not for the religious symbolism - I'm a hard core rationalist not mystic - but simply because I liked the geometrical shape of it. Decided not to wear it because people might get the wrong idea about my beliefs. -

As one can see by perusing rightwingwatch.org, Fundamentalist Christians believe that Obama is a sign of the end times maybe even the antichrist. There are more of those kooks then there are JWs and they've got political clout which the JWs don't.
